History of Baliwag Police Station
There’s no significant record of the exact year of establishment of the Baliwag Police Station. However, history says that Francisco Ponce was the first known Chief of Police of Baliwag until such time in 1900 wherein the Philippine Constabulary was created as a counterpart of the Guardia Civil of the Spanish-American Regime facilitated by Gen. Henry T. Allen. Then it was in September 8, 1966 when the Congress passed R.A. 4864 creating the Police Act of 1966 and police Commission the Chief of Police was Col. CAMACHO until 1976 after the PD 765 was created, the Police Integration and the establishment of Integrated National Police with the Philippine Constabulary as the nucleus. In the present time, Baliwag Police Station is under the leadership of PSUPT FROILAN RELEÑAS UY supported by two (2) deputies and seven (7) staffs, with a total strength of 59 composed of 3 Police Commissioned Officer (PCOs), 56 Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCOs) and 5 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs) with 1:2673.424 police to population ratio. To attain its mandated mission and functions, Baliwag Police Station has an additional three (3) Outposts: Outpost one (1) in Glorietta Park located at Brgy. Poblacion, Baliwag, Bulacan; Outpost two (2) in Fly-over located at Brgy. Tangos, Baliwag, Bulacan; and Outpost three (3) located at Brgy. Makinabang, Baliwag, Bulacan.
