MENRO Leads Barangka Clean up
The Municipality of Baliwag, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), conducted a Monthly Clean-up Drive on May 20, 2017 at Barangay Barangka, Baliwag, Bulacan.
The event started with a short program led by MENRO staffs. Barangay Captain Rosita S. Garcia welcomed the participants that are composed of barangay officials, residents of Barangka, government officials, NGOs, and other volunteer groups in Baliwag.
Clean Up Drive is a monthly activity that is spearheaded by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office that aims to promote clean living and environmental awareness to all Baliwagenyos most especially those located at the rural areas of Baliwag. The campaign has been able to reach out all the 27 barangays and had continued moving to reroute barangays in Baliwag to further implement cleanlines and economic friendliness of the town.
The Clean-up Drive is a part of the municipalityÔÇÖs endeavor to maintain the cleanliness of irrigation canals in Baliwag through engaging the community in the efforts to protect our environment.
