Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Lungsod ng Baliwag

The Baliwag City Council is the legislative body of the city government, responsible for enacting ordinances and resolutions that serve as the foundation for local policies and regulations. The Council deliberates on matters concerning the city and its constituents and exercises its legislative powers in accordance with applicable laws. The body holds its regular sessions every Monday at 10 AM, with four regular sessions per month.

Authority & Order

The official symbol of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Baliwag City represents the dignity, authority, and responsibility vested in the City Council. It symbolizes the legislative body’s mandate to enact ordinances and resolutions, uphold order, and represent the interests of the people of Baliwag City.

During official sessions and ceremonial occasions, the Mace is carried by the Sergeant-at-Arms, whose duties include maintaining order within the session hall and assisting in the enforcement of the rules and procedures adopted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Its presence signifies that the Council is formally convened and that its proceedings are duly constituted.
